After operating the Rusafa water project with a production capacity of (910) thousand cubic meters / day to feed the areas east of the canal, Sadr City, the new Baghdad district, Ghadir and the people, it became necessary to establish water tanks to store the required quantities of pure water during the night, as the demand for water decreased to cover the needs of the regions at peak time At noon, as well as exploiting the maximum potentials in the work of water projects around the clock, maintaining the pressures of the distribution network and securing a suitable store of water to feed the sectors when the projects stopped. This project is part of the Baghdad Municipality plan to establish a number of reservoirs in the city of Baghdad linked to the giant Rusafa water project, Al Essam Group was responsible for the construction of the following reservoirs:
